Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College was brought into being in July 2015 by the SGPC Member S. Sikander Singh maluka to impart education to rural children of Bhagta Bhai Ka area. The college is named after the tenth guru and president of Khalsa Panth, Guru Gobind Singh Ji. The main endeavour was to inculcate basic as well as value based education to the students of the backward region of the state. The land was blessed by the tenth Master Guru Guru Gobind Singh Ji since then it has flourished as leading educational hub. Our effort is to provide education at door steps and at affordable charges. Excellence in curriculum is our priority.

• An Identity card is issued to each student by the college. The students oare required to bring their I-Card daily along with them. The students have to show the card asked by a college authority. A student is fined Rs. 100/- for coming to college without an identity
• This identity card is essential for accessing library books.
• In case of loss of identity card, written application should be given to the librarian immediately and it is necessary to submit the fee to get a new identity card.

The College is well equipped with different laboratories namely Computer, Home Science, Physics, Chemistry and Biology for the use of students under the supervision of respective teachers.

Sports is very important for all round development of students. The College has an open and spacious sports stadium. Games like Volleyball, Badminton, Kho-kho, Table-tennis, Athletics and other sports are available. Considering the need of the hour, Gatka training is given to students. The Gatka team of the college has made a name for itself at the international level.

The College magazine ‘Gyan Pipasa’ is published to highlight the literary, creative and self expression interests of the students. There are separate sections for Punjabi, English, Hindi, Religion, Commerce, News and Photography. A teacher is incharge of each section to guide the students for editorial work

All the students of the college are divided into tutorial groups to develop the holistic personality of the students and to enhance the interaction between students and the teachers. During tutorial period, these groups discuss various contemporary topics

College organizes historical and educational tours for the students at various times.

Special Awards are given to the students for their achievements in the field of social service, discipline and good management. Students are honoured with ‘Roll of Honour’ and ‘College Colour’ for their special achievements in the field of education, sports and culture according to their merit.

The college conducts quarterly, half yearly tests and parent teacher meet regarding the performance of the students.

There is provision of SMS facility for sending leave and other necessary information to college students and parents

Suggestion box has been set up at the college, any student can give her suggestion for college welfare. It is opened on 25th of each month in the presence of the principal and constructive suggestions are implemented.

An anti-ragging cell has been set up at the college. From time to time there is a meeting of anti ragging incharge and student members so that no student in the college has to face physical or mental problem.

The facility of Tuck Shop has been provided in the college to provide stationary to the students. It also provides essential commodities for the hostel students.

Vermi Compost Manure is prepared at college which is beneficial to the college and area residents for the crops. Interested students are trained to prepare this Organic Fertilizer.

College owns a well furnished & canteen with separate seating arrangement for staff and students . It provides all types of snacks, soft drinks and meals at subsidized rates. In addition to the food items canteen also provides various types of stationary items to the students at reasonable cost. Students are always welcome to contribute with their ideas for wealthy eating dishes through questionnaires
